This website is dedicated to the unique range of wind-up gramophones manufactured by the shortlived company of C. H. Gilbert & Co Ltd, of 75 Arundel Street, Sheffield, England, and 23. South Street, Hull, from 1922 to 1937.

Please note: This site is currently being updated (spring 2006) to include more historical information about the Gilbert company, it's founder, and it's products. You will also notice that the models section has now been increased to reflect the growth of my collection, and the gallery section will soon be completed to include many new and recently discovered images. My sincere thanks go out to all those who have submitted information and images for inclusion on this website, without your help, this information would be lost forever. I hope you find this revised website both informative and educational.

As an avid collector of Gilbert Gramophones (presently 82 machines-and rising!!!), I have produced this website to help increase knowledge and awareness of these fascinating machines. I would dearly like to hear from any other "Gilbert" owners or collectors with any information or photos they may have regarding Gilbert Gramophones so that the information can be included within this site for the benefit of others.
